Anti-Graffiti Film

Vandals tag the film — not your glass. Sacrificial anti-graffiti film absorbs scratches, acid etching, and paint, then peels off clean. Replacing a layer of film costs a fraction of replacing storefront glass.

The Math

Glass replacement is the expensive way to erase a tag.

A scratched or acid-etched storefront pane in LA can run four figures to replace — plus days of boarded-up windows telling the street your block gets hit. Anti-graffiti film changes the equation: a 4–6 mil optically clear sacrificial layer takes the damage, and our crew swaps it out quickly at a fraction of glass cost.

For properties that get tagged repeatedly — and in LA and OC's busiest corridors, that's a matter of when, not if — we set up scheduled replacement programs so your glass always reads clean and cared for.

  • Optically clear — invisible once installed
  • Protects against scratch tags, acid etch & paint
  • Fast peel-and-replace service, no glass downtime
  • Also shields mirrors, elevator panels & transit glass
  • Multi-site & property-management programs available
AGS installers applying clear anti-graffiti film to a Hollywood Walk of Fame storefront

Real Hollywood Project

Clear protection on the Walk of Fame.

Mike and an AGS installer protected a landmark Hollywood retail storefront with Madico 6-mil anti-graffiti film while working around active sidewalk traffic, ornate framing, and a live entrance.

The full case study explains the product, the replacement cycle, the installation constraints, and why a clear sacrificial layer makes sense on one of Los Angeles' most exposed retail corridors.

Questions

Anti-graffiti film FAQ.

Will people be able to see the film?

No — anti-graffiti film is optically clear and distortion-free when professionally installed. Your storefront looks exactly the same; it just stops paying for vandalism with glass.

What happens when it gets tagged?

Call us. We peel the damaged layer and install a fresh one, typically in a single visit. For repeat-hit locations we offer scheduled programs so replacement is automatic, not an emergency.

Does it protect against acid etching?

Yes — acid etch cream and scratch tools damage the sacrificial layer instead of the glass. Severe attacks may go through in spots, but the repair is still a film swap instead of a pane replacement in almost every case.

Can I combine it with security or solar film?

Yes — anti-graffiti film is commonly layered as the outermost, exterior-side sacrificial surface while security film or solar film does its job on the interior side. One assessment specs the whole stack.
